Return and Warranty Policy (Massachusetts)
At Best Car Best Deal, we strictly comply with the Massachusetts Used Vehicle Warranty Law (Lemon Law) to ensure our customers purchase safe and reliable vehicles.
7-Day Failed Inspection Right to Return If you purchase a vehicle from us and it fails the Massachusetts safety or emissions inspection within 7 days of the date of purchase, and the estimated cost of repairs related to the failure exceeds 10% of the purchase price, you have the right to return the vehicle for a full refund, provided you follow the statutory procedures.
Used Vehicle Warranty Law (Defective Vehicles) For qualifying vehicles, we provide a mandatory limited warranty against defects that impair the vehicle’s use or safety. The duration of this warranty depends on the vehicle’s mileage at the time of purchase:
Under 40,000 miles: 90 days or 3,750 miles (whichever comes first).
40,000 to 79,999 miles: 60 days or 2,500 miles.
80,000 to 124,999 miles: 30 days or 1,250 miles.
Vehicles with 125,000 miles or more are sold without this specific warranty but must still pass the state safety inspection.
If a covered defect arises during the warranty period, we will repair it. If we are unable to repair the defect after a reasonable number of attempts as defined by Massachusetts law, we will accept a return of the vehicle and issue a refund (less a reasonable allowance for use).
Non-Defective Returns (Buyer’s Remorse) Please note that outside of the specific protections provided by the Massachusetts Lemon Law and the Failed Inspection Law, we do not offer a “cooling-off” period. We do not accept returns or exchanges for non-defective vehicles (e.g., changing your mind about the color or model).
